Smiřice This old town´s most important historic monument is the chateau with the late Barogue chapel which was probably designed by the famous architects J. Santini and K. Diezenhofer. The architectural perfection of the chapel is supplemented with the intact decoration of the exquisite interior highlighted by a painting over the altar - The Adoration of the Three Kings - by Petr Brandl. In front of the Chapel stands the statue of St. John Nepomucensis ( probably from the Braun´s smelting works ). My city had 3072 people ( 1.1. 2009 ) |
